Reaching its 11th edition, the stylish Louis Vuitton City Guides, share for more than 10 years, the passion for travel and urban life, covering the spirit of the cities all over the world, in a unique way, filled with imagination. As expected from a brand such as Louis Vuitton, the guides have a strong subjective feature, mixing though in a perfect way the good taste with perspicacity and wisdom. Each volume embraces very attentive and well informed comments, created by journalists and celebrities; they are accompanied by advice and perspectives on most recent trends in fashion, design, arts and gastronomy from the heart of the cities. If the 2010 edition aimed for large European capitals, but also less famous cities such as: Deauville, Knokk-le-Zoute, Mykonos, Basel or Malaga, for 2011 Louis Vuitton brings in curious destinations, as Beirut, Gstaad or Porto Cervo. In addition, this edition includes individual box set collections for cities like New York, Los Angeles, Paris, London, Rome or Tokyo, updated every two years. And..if you wouldn’t expect this, two year ago, along cities such as Glasgow, Manchester or Palermo, Louis Vuitton introduced Bucharest on their list. The city was portrayed by the famous soprano Angela Gheorghiu, who talked about the places she loves, and what people shouldn’t miss in Bucharest. The guides are available both in English and French, include over 7000 addresses and handy maps, and the design was obviously inspired from the famous LV logo bags. There are also short clips available on youtube for: New York, Berlin and Paris (Access by clicking on city names). I guess the last thing to do is to wish you all a good journey, but also to mention that the prices are proportional with the brand.
